MOTB debuted in March 2012 as a Tampa Bay Parrot Head event. It began as a 3-day weekend, it has now grown into 3 1/2 days of the best Trop Rock music event.
In 2022 MOTB celebrated its’ 10th Anniversary! During the 10 years, MOTB has raised $457,000 for Shriners Hospital for Children – Florida.
MOTB has received Trop Rock Music Association’s (TRMA) “Event of the Year” for 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2022.
In 2022 we welcomed attendees from 36 states and UK to the party and enjoy three and half days of non-stop music by some of the best, award-winning entertainers in the Trop-Rock world.
The entire event took place on the shore of beautiful Tampa Bay at Whiskey Joe’s Barefoot Beach Bar. We had over 1100 weekend registrations and on an average with walk-ins approximately 1400 attendees for the weekend.

Shriners Chilren’s – Florida is a health care system of 22 hospitals dedicated to improving the lives of children by providing specialty pediatric care, innovative research and outstanding teaching programs.
Children up to the age of 18 with orthopedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries and cleft lip and palate are eligible for admission and receive all care in a family-centered environment regardless of the family’s ability to pay.
For 2023, we are repeating it by hosting our biggest fundraising event, Music on the Bay (MOTB) benefiting Shriners Children’s™- Florida, a 501 (c) (3) corporation, Federal tax ID: 36-2193608 to provide care to children with neuromusculosketal conditions, burn injuries and other special healthcare needs.
