We want more:
I joined this crazy ass club then didn’t participate in anything
for three years as I had only been to one meeting when my
schedule changed to working 11-8 (didn’t realize I could come to
the meetings after work and stuff was still going on). Long
story short I saw in the newsletters all the fun things that
were going on (that I was missing out on) and told my company
that I needed to leave at 6:00 on Wednesdays. Seven years later
I must say that was the best decision I’ve ever made (along with
taking almost two years off from working…it’s been great!). I
appreciate all the volunteer projects we’ve worked on over the
years, all the trips we’ve taken and all the wonderful friends I
have made. I hate to think how boring my life would have been if
I hadn’t come to happy hour that one Wednesday night so many
years ago.
